Letting Go

It hasn`t been easy
But no one said it would
I`d go back in a minute
Only if I could

You`re so far away now
Like a figment of a dream
But now I face the reality
People aren`t always what they seem

You don`t want to let me go
For reasons unclear to me
But you don`t want to stay
It just isn`t meant to be

And so I face the world again
But maybe a bit more wise
And I`ll learn to love again
Perhaps one day I`ll win the prize
